My Life After Kartik

Today, it is 3 months for Kartik’s demise and we are here trying to get used to this new normal. While my life would never be the same again, my kids are getting back on their feet. It’s still a relief that they are playing, cheering me and each other up and trying to act all matured. They are still kids, but I had to grow up overnight to take up the responsibilities of both Mom and Dad.

I and Kartik always dreamt of sending our little ones to one of the best universities in the world. Now Anya talks about becoming an AI expert, while Rohan wants to make a career in Data Science. While this seems very glamourous, it comes with a high price token.

Now I have to not only support Anya and Rohan emotionally, but also make sure that they have the financial support to pursue their dreams. I thought I would be struggling big time to support my bright kids, but seems like Kartik had a piece of pie taken out for them as well.

Kartik had invested in Savings Plan, keeping in mind the timeline of when the money will be needed for their college education and expenses. This Savings Plan is helping us in building wealth and Kartik has kept a policy term that aligns with Rohan and Anya’s college years. These policies will mature around the same time when they are ready for their college admissions.

His planning seemed so complete to me that I probably would never think beyond this. A term insurance that helped my family get back on our feet and a savings plan that ensured my kids would have a best education. But Kartik was always a step ahead.

He always wanted me to enjoy my life, travel to unexplored places and never stop dreaming, and with this thought in mind, he went for the insurance plan that suited the best for me. My superhero secured my retirement plans through investments like ULIP that will never make me go through financial crisis and made sure that I never stop enjoying my life.

Kartik was truly my knight in shining armour, even when he was no longer with us, I knew he will forever guard his sweet family. I never realised the importance of future planning, but Insurance came to my rescue, and I will forever be grateful to Kartik, my superhero, for this!!!!

Oh! It is almost time for our flight to Dubai. Remember, me and Kartik planned a surprise trip for our kids. It is time to move on and start with the new chapter of our lives.

After all, the goal is not to keep sailing the boat, but help the boat sail itself.
