Step 1: Start by visiting the official UIDAI website at https://uidai.gov.in/

Step 2: Click on “Check Aadhaar Status” - On the UIDAI website’s home page, look for the “Check Aadhaar Status” option and click on it.

Step 3: Enter Enrollment Details - You will be redirected to a new page where you need to enter your 14-digit enrollment number and the date and time of enrollment. These details are mentioned on the acknowledgement slip given to you at the time of Aadhaar enrollment.

Step 4: Enter the Security Code - On the same page, you will see a security code. Type the characters displayed in the box for verification purposes.

Step 5: Click on “Check Status” - Once you have entered all the required details, click on the “Check Status” button.

Step 6: View Aadhaar Card Status - After clicking the button, the Aadhaar update status will be displayed on the screen. It will show whether your Aadhaar Card has been generated or dispatched or if there is any other status update.

Checking through Phone

Step 1: Call UIDAI’s Toll-Free Number - Dial 1947, which is UIDAI’s toll-free number. Keep your enrollment number and date/time of enrollment ready.

Step 2: Follow IVR Instructions - Listen carefully to the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system’s instructions and select the option to check your Aadhaar Card status.

Step 3: Enter Enrollment Details - Provide your 14-digit enrollment number and the date and time of enrollment when prompted by the IVR.

Step 4: Receive Status Information - After entering the required details, you will receive information regarding your Aadhaar Card’s status.

Checking through Post

Step 1: Write a Letter - Compose a letter addressing UIDAI requesting the status of your Aadhaar Card. Include your 14-digit enrollment number and the date and time of enrollment in the letter.
